Blanco United Methodist Church Childrens Ministry.

At Blanco United Methodist Church we have created a fun, safe, and Christian atmosphere starting with our younger church goers.

Our Sunday school program starts at three years old where the children begin to learn bible stories and verses and the importance of prayer, helping and honoring one another, and doing as God would want us to.

Offering is taken up each Sunday and the children have donated to different charities or programs through out the year. We let the children have a hand on approach by giving them ideas and choices and then allowing them to choose where they want the money they have collected to go to.

They have donated offerings local families for school supplies, Relay for Life, taken trips to buy toys for Toys for Tots and given money to one of their own Sunday school classmates to help with expenses while being treated for cancer.

The children are taught that they are an important part of our church and you can see that with many of their craft projects they do in Sunday school proudly on display throughout the halls of the church, or when they bless us with their musical voices in our Sunday worship hours.

A new tradition has been starting with our Vacation Bible School now being held in the evening.  Youth from the community come for a light dinner and week filled with crafts, singing, and entertainment and walk away with a Christian message they will remember for years to come.

The week ends with the youth performing a program the last night for their parents and family with an ice cream social afterwards.
